Kristen “Kris” Salyards is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 30 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults navigate some of life's most challenging moments, from everyday stress and burnout to anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.
Kris brings a warm, grounded, and genuinely human presence to her work. She believes therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship, one built on trust, honesty, and a deep respect for where you are right now. Whether you're a teenager trying to make sense of a world that feels overwhelming, a parent worried about your child, or an adult who has been putting everyone else first for too long, Kris meets you exactly where you are.
Her approach is integrative and tailored to each person, drawing on evidence-based frameworks including Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, somatic awareness, and attachment-informed practice. She doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. She believes in you.
Kris's understanding of stress, resilience, and the complexity of family life isn't just clinical, it's personal. She grew up as one of twelve siblings, including ten adoptive siblings with a range of abilities, and that experience remains at the heart of who she is as a therapist: someone who knows that connection, patience, and being truly seen can change everything.
Anchor Point Integrative Therapy is now accepting referrals. We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Self Pay Clients.
