You’re in the Right Place

I have been doing this work for over 30 years. Direct practice with kids and families, clinical supervision, leading teams, running organizations, organizing communities. My career has taken me through foster care, adoption, developmental disabilities, group homes, residential care, homeless youth, community mental health, across two countries and more populations than I can easily list. I am currently the Executive Director of The Bridge Youth and Family Services in Palatine, a role I remain deeply committed to.

After decades of leading organizations and holding space for communities, I found something unexpected in private practice: room to simply be present with one person at a time. Calming the white noise and holding space for one individual, couple, or family. Just the work, the relationship, and the chance to follow your lead. It turned out that after all those years, this is what I had been moving toward all along…my own anchor point.

What we believe is simple, even when the work isn't: Mind. Body. Heart. We meet you where you are. We follow your lead. We believe the relationship is the work, not a backdrop to it.

My own understanding of that work isn't just professional. I grew up as one of twelve siblings, including ten adoptive siblings with a range of abilities. That family shaped everything about how I see people: their complexity, their resilience, and their capacity to heal when they feel genuinely seen.

Whatever brought you here, you are welcome. This is a place to breathe, to be honest, and to begin.
